I always freeze mine with them on for extra protection and remove only when I slice. I sthere a reason you remove yours? Just curious.

I just dont like to freeze the casings with the meat.

Oh just wondered. But I just figure a added layer of protection. and still comes off easy. But the one really big reason is I love the looks of those wonderful smoked casing.
