Hi from the great white north. Just got a 6 rack Bradley and am quite new to smoking on my own, Have done a few batches of bacon with a buddy before. Im sure I will be asking alot of questions, to start probably mostly about some of the mods I have been reading about on here. Thanks for access to all the great info guys!

Welcome aboard Darren.

look around and see what others have  done, ask questions,, also do not  rush into making a mod  with out taking a good look at  what is  out here,,, also consider what you  will be  making in the future,,, what you  will be  making in the future sort of tells you  what  kind of pid controller to build.

if you  are considering making  sausage you  should consider build a Pid with a  ramp / soak feature so you  can maintain temperatures for the durations  needed..

lots of decisions to make... so take your  time here

TMB

Welcome from the sunny south!!

North Alabama that is, where it's sunny and 36 for the high today.  Kinda warm for you I bet  ;D

Exactly what I was going to say. Take the time to get to know your smoker before you rush into making all the mods these guys suggest to do right away. As Beefman stated you may not even need to do any mods.

Welcome to the forum, any questions just ask. I have one question and that is how the hell did beefman get the fact that your name is Darren from what you briefly posted? ???
