Once again I'm new to the forum and Bradley. I saw a warning against using foil in the 76L , It would sure be nice to cover the reflector and not have such a major cleaning job. What's the reasoning, is it the electrical aspect?

Because of the danger of grease pools forming and then causing a grease fire.
The only thing you need to clean is the "v" tray, racks, and the water bowl. The rest stay "seasoned"

I lightly spray my V-tray, racks and bowl with original PAM.  After my smoke, I put them straight into the dishwasher and they come out clean - no work at all!

If you cover the V-tray or even a rack with foil you run the risk of the heat and smoke not rising as intended increasing your chance of a fire.  You most certainly can wrap meat in foil and place it on a rack as long as there is room around the rack for the smoke and heat to continue to rise.

Hope this helps.
