I GOT A BOX FROM TEXAS AND OH BOY!!

Sonny sent me a box of Texas goodies and man was it chucked full.
Two different breakfast sausage packages, some sausage casings, sweet potato pancake mixes, fried chicken spices, cobbler mix 3 different rice mixes and 15 bean soup mix and a can of boiled peanuts. There were also a bottle of home canned jelly and another of home canned [I belive apple chunks ] but I might be wrong on that. I am sure going to enjoy trying all the different things but Sonny you went way over board. Tomorrow morning I think I am going to have some pancakes what do you think?

That was a "retirement gift". Happy Retirement March 1st.

The Mayhaw Jelly, I helped a friend of mine's Grandmother make.

The Zatarains rice mixes is to get you in the mood to use that Cajun Cookbook.

The apple things are actually Figs. Yes Sir, You have what is called Fig Preserve.

Fantastic on buttered toast or biscuits. My Aunt gives me full jars for empty jars each year.

Just had a couple of the pancakes and they were great. A friend of mine gave me some chicken pheasant sausage and I am going to cook up one of the rice dishes with the sausages sliced up with them. I am going to have fun with all the goodies. Thanks again sonny.
