Ok this is not about food!  But I know a lot of y'all come out to visit my adopted home town(been here since '91)  This is a great place to visit.....our very first distillery! It's the first legal distillery in the state! It's not big at all.  You can take a small tour(for free!) The booze tastes awesome!  It's actually in Henderson....a few mile from the strip.  They buy grains in state too!  Any questions just ask...I support local!

I have enjoyed it each time I have a snort.  :-X

At first I didn't know what to expect.  ::)

So I took a big sipppppp.  :o

Then I got thirsty for more.  :P

And my checks turned red.  :-[

I became a little confused.  :-\

Got mad at the world.  >:(

Cryed with the dogs.  :'(

And then just mellowed out.  ???

Next morning my eyes were red so I wore my sunglasses al day.  8)

The are a lot of micro distilleries starting up all over the country. No lees than 10 here in Washington State and they are great little places. There's even one that gets the squeezed grape skins from the wineries and makes Grappa with them. As with the explosion of homebrewing beer, I think it's entirely possible that there is an upswing in home distilling. The feds and states don't like the loss of tax revenue and have made the licensing process much less onerous in $$ and time to increase the intake of $$. After all, they can never get enough and there's always one more gov't. program that needs funding. :o

OU812....they can't ship out of state yet.  It took them almost 3years to even be able to get this distillery started.  The laws in this state are brutal!

I just want to add I am no way connected to this company.  I just like good booze! ;D  And it's an interesting place to visit while here.
