Well as often as it shouldnt happen when smoking food,  I tend to be the guy that wants some smoked goodness at the last minute.  Becoming a pro at the go to the store,  and throw it in the smoker kind of thing.  Saturday was one of those days.  Decided that morning I wanted to try pulled pork,  Run to the store,  no pork butt, no pork shoulder,  Just ribs and sirloin.  I have to give the ribs a day seasoned,  so I figured I would try the sirloin.  I knew this wouldnt be pulled pork,  but whats to stop a guy from trying?

Get home,  get it seasoned up with my favorite juices and rubs,  and threw it in.

Pulled from the smoker

Decided what the hey,  I will try pulling one,  and slice the other like a pork loin.  The sliced tasted awesome as usual,  but the pulled just wasnt right.  Sirloin is definately not a good meat to use to pull.  Turned out tasting great,  but definately need to re-try with a pork butt.

Also a first...  Made some home made southern mac and cheese to go along with it.  Nice and velveetaey,  even added some green chilies and breaded topping.

Next time I will try to plan it out a little better and be prepared.  Just gotta say I love my bradley,  even if I dont prepare the meats properly!!! ;D

Nothing wrong with slice pork.

The southern mac sounds AOK.
