Sliced American and Pepperoni

Did something a little different today. I smoked up about 4-1/2 pounds of presliced American cheese for sandwiches and a large stick of pepperoni.
Looks like it came out pretty good.

Sliced cheese going in for a couple hours of hickory. Temperature set at 90 degrees F.


After an hour I put the pepperoni in, still at 90 F for another hour.


Took the cheese out and raised the temperature to 140 F for another hour and a half. Still smoking with hickory.
Here is the results. Cheese smoked for 2 hours, pepperoni smoked for 2-1/2 hours.

Not sure why you can't see the pics? I just checked with another computer and they show up fine for me.
I have smoked a lot of cheese over the years but never thought of smoking presliced cheese. It did come out real good.

I can't see the pics either but want to see how you arranged the slices on the racks.  I always figured I couldn't lay out enough slices to make it worth the trouble.

I used a direct link to the picture, and when I got to Photobucket the same image stating your picture was moved or deleted. But yet I could scroll through the rest of you album and view the other pictures in that album just fine.

You should recheck those links, and I would suggest you make you albums private, unless you don't mind someone viewing all the pictures in that album.

I was able to see both sets of pics.  I once hit a delete button on photo bucket by mistake and saw that same "sorry" message.  Whatever.  Neat idea though.  Did you take the wrapping off the slices before smoking?  Can't tell for sure on the pics.

If I may answer for Pens, these slices come "offset stacked" rather than single wrapped (ala Kraft Singles), just take the outer packaging off and they're ready to go.
