So how do you heat leftover ribs?

So I made 6 half-racks of back ribs a while back for a family gathering, but between the ribs, the smoked chicken, the pies, and the appetizers, I had 2 1/2 racks of ribs left over. So I did what any good red-blooded man would do - I ate them!  :o :o

Ha! No, actually I froze them, but now it's time to thaw and reheat them.

So what's your preferred method to reheat ribs? I love my ribs fall-off-the-bone tender and I like my ribs sauced (sacrilege, I know)... :-[ :-[

Thanks!

I've had ribs left over.   I've eaten them cold as a snack and I've nuked them and they're fine.

I make about forty pounds of ribs when I'm home and freeze them for Ann to enjoy when I'm at work on the slope. She just re wraps them in a foil, tray with a little more sauce and a splash of juice then pops them in the oven for about 30 minutes at 325 f. They stay fall off the bone and dripping in sauce just the way she like them.

Thanks for the tips, guys!

I'm already looking forward to eating them tonight!

Thanks again!

I have two reheating techniques I use, depending on how long I'm willing to wait.

My preferred method is to throw them on a sheet pan and put in a 250 degree oven.  I know they are warmed through when a bit of grease starts to build up around the bone ends.  This seems to take about 30 minutes or so.  Then I add a bit of sauce and let them go for another 10 - 15 minutes to caramelize the sauce some.

If I'm in a hurry, I'll reheat the ribs in the microwave using the defrost cycle for about 10 minutes or so.  At full power, the ribs get tough.  On defrost, they are close to as tender as they were when they came out of the smoker.

Stick them on a plate in the microwave for about 90 seconds, covered so they don't splatter.

I like them cold or in the microwave :)

I microwave smaller individual ribs, checking at 30 second intervals. If I am reheating  a whole or half rack I will flash reheat either on a grill or under a broiler at 400°F - 450°.
