The last three times I made a post I received the following error message:

error '8000ffff'
Catastrophic failure

/forum/inc_mail.asp, line 94

It posted my message anyway.  It caused me to list one message twice.  I noticed that someone else has just had a similar problem.  Is anyone else experiencing this???

yes I had the same message earlier today but it posted anyway.

Please someone tell me what time zone this forum is in

I had this problem when I signed up as well. Although error msg appeared post was posted.  Only thing is the post count did not go up.

The server problem that was giving the 'catastrophic failure' error message is now fixed.

...and has returned. John is aware of it & doing everything possible to correct it ASAP. Thankfully most of us have it figured out & are still posting.

Ignore the failure notice & just hit your back button. Then click on the forum you desire. Your message will have been posted & everything is peachy.

BTW, emails through the forum are also down.

Seems we're back to business as usual. All chime in for a toast to grakka: "For he's a jolly good fellow........"

Closing it back up.
