That's a great price, I saw a Kroger's ad on tv that said brisket was $1.68/lb with $20 purchase, but they are probably select and not choice.

West coasties need more info, what is a Smart and Final? I have never heard them.

Sorry Shasta Bob.....Smart and Final is a smaller warehouse store that caters to small businesses but anyone can shop there without a card.  Not sure if they made it up to Oregon yet. :(  Maybe I should have said...Californians...Sorry.

We haven't had a Cash and Carry out here for years...so not sure if the same.  The Cash and Carry we did have, we had to buy by the case, Smart and Final you don't.  You can always go on line and check their specials.  I don't know if you have a Food for Less(Kroger in some areas). They have spares for $1.58/lb.
