I encourage you to take time to look over the recipe site that Devo provided.  This is the repository for recipes from many of the forum's most experienced smokers.  Many of these recipes are more than a list of ingredients and mixing instructions.  Included in the recipes are lots of smoking tips and technique suggestions from our resident experts.

Jan's rub is a winner, and so are the recipes on the recipe site, once you pick a recipe you can usually do a search on the forum and find 5-6 different posts with pictures from different members using the recipe.

I actually found http://www.susanminor.org/ before I bought my smoker...and that site is one of the *many* reasons as to why I jumped into the world of smoking food.   Jan's is an excellent rub.  :)
