Can I freeze Gravlox before cold smoking?

I made gravlax, and now want to cold smoke it.  It's been cured, brined, and dried.  However due to circumstances we do not have time to cold smoke it for a while.  My plan is to vacuum pack it, then freeze it, then thaw it out at a later date and cold smoke it.  Is this possible?  I know perhaps I will need to re-dry it.
