BBQ grill mats?

I have had these grill mats for a while, as I intended to use them with my older smoker, but never got around to it.

Would these be OK for use in my Bradley Smoker?  They are a very tight weave, almost a solid material, but they appear to be porous enough to let liquids go thru.

Or, would I be better off ordering some frog mats instead?

As long as they are non-stick I'd say they would work.  Frogmats are definitely porous.

If they are almost a solid material  I wouldn't use them in a Bradley.  You run the risk of trapping heat underneath.  That is why the owner's manual says to not completely cover a rack with foil.

That being said, that is only my single personal opinion.

i own a  few of then and they  work  great in a bradley only  thing you  have to  be careful of  is during the smoking process   is  have a  way to drain the  juices away  from the meat,,, what i have done is cut  mine to  size so the  juices drop down the left and right  sides .. front and back are covered with the  mat so it wont splash onto the heating  element of  onto us as we  remove the meat...  works  quite  well
