Never heard of "FS" cure but Insta cure#1 is 1Tsp per 5 lbs so 10 lbs is 2 tsp. 1tbs and 2tsp are very close. I'm not going to say its the same a cure #1 (pink salt) but the amounts are similar.

Maybe read this thread.

1 US tablespoon = 3 US teaspoons

Habanero Smoker

CoreyMac has pointed you in the right direction. That link provides the ingredients and the percentage of sodium nitrite, so use it as your butcher directed you to.

The pink color in cure #1 is a voluntary standard that most brand names use when selling to the public. Those same manufacturers often do not use the dye when they sell in bulk to companies that use their cures to manufacture their own cured/smoked meats.

FS Cure is to be used at a rate of 1.25 tsp per 5 lbs of meat.
