By now some of you have probably noticed that my Moderator designation has been removed.  It has been removed because I asked Brian to be relieved from that duty.  There are several reasons I made the decision.  One of the important reasons is that the "climate" of the Forum has notably changed to the point that I no longer feel I can be effective as a Moderator.  My wife's mother is having some serious health problems that require a lot of our time.  I too am having some health issues that prevent me from devoting the time I would like to devote to the Forum.  It seemed like now was a good time for me to give up the position.

I have given Brian the name of a replacement if he wants to replace me.

I will still remain a member of the Forum, contributing my smoking adventures, offering recipes and assistance when asked.

Sorry to hear about your health and that of your mother-in-law. Is she still performing camp ground host duties?

I know how you feel I had a GI bleed while we were in Great Brition and ended up staying in the hotel room most of the trip, on returning to the USA I was admitted to the hospital I'm out know but its going to take time to get back to where I was before the trip. My sausage cabnet has been running now for over a month with no errors next to test the heating side next week if that goes well the we will make my first Salami. We will miss you as a Moderator.

Sorry to read your post.  You have been a lot of help to me in my short time on the forum. I hope you won't mind a few PM's now and then when I get stuck on some project.

You've helped me a lot, either directly or indirectly from me just reading your posts.
I hope the tone of this forum can be kind and civilized and respectful.  I don't visit many forums on the web because of some of the nastiness I observe, but people here seem mighty nice for the most part, with the occasional hiccup.

I wish you the very best for your health and family's health and well being.
I hope to see lots of your posts moving forward!!

I think some of you missed this part. He isn't leaving just stepping down and taking a break from checking the forum several times a day.
