Hello everyone my name is Matt and I'm brand new here and just wanted to say hi. Just a bit of background, I'm not necessarily new to smoking as I've been doing it for roughly 5 years on my electric gourmet brinkman smoker. Good unit by the way for the price. Have definitely got my money out of it. I am preparing to purchase the digital 4 rack Bradley smoker as soon as it goes on sale. Everything I've read has been mostly positive except for a few issues with reaching a desired temperature in colder weather. Before I do purchase it if anyone has any tips or advice or anything at all they feel is important to know before I do purchase it I'm all ears. Any tips on how to get the best out of the forum I'd love to hear as well. Look forward to many great discussions. Thanks everyone.

Oh wow. I've had some good times at the Sunnyside. Wish badly someone would reopen that place. Have a question...I have a thermo works meat thermometer. With the Bradley smokers what's the best way to go about leaving the probe in the meat during the cooking process? I think I seen in some videos some people have it coming in through the vent at the top? Is that the best way? Thanks.

Jim O

I just run the wire out the door and close the door on it. Won't harm the sensor cable. Some folks do go thru the vent also.

If a man said he'll fix it, he will. There is no need to remind him every 6 months about it.
