OK I'm stupid. It's 10:23 EST and I can't get into the chat room. I follow the link and sign in then hit enter and nodda! Nice big white screen with a little x in the upper left corner. Dang! I got off work early to try it. Sorry guys. Mabe next week with your help.

The later XP's do not have Sun Java which is what you need for the chatroom.

Download this and you should be good to go.

The Java Runtime Environment .


Make sure your Java is turned on. To do this:
I.E. > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > place check in box next to "JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled"-- restart computer.

I had the same problem and Olds fix works perfect.  I was on 98 and had to upgrade and missed a couple weeks due to this issue.  Worked perfect last night, had a nice quick visit with Owrstrich and jaeger.

Thanks. I saw you guys on there, just couldn't get there. Ann and I changed the work schedule so I can get on the chat room once in awhile. Looking forward to it very much. Winter is getting close and it will be a nice break in our hectic routine.
