Habs pastrami recipe did us in.

Well hab ya did it big time. Yesterday I was just checking the pastrami out that I pulled the night before made your way and all the sudden we had more company than I have seen in years. SOME ONE got the word out. I sliced it up paper thin and steam heated it and piled high on marble rye. You couldn't get your mouth wide enough to eat these things. Stone ground mustard, cold beer, dill pickles and 2 hours later I went into a pastrami coma. Everyone was so full they had to rest up to get to the car. Two full briskets reduced to a sink full of dirty plates. Land piranas would best decribe them. Very good buddy! I'm picking up four more this week and will try to keep some left overs this time. I think your right on the 250 temp thing. It would cut down the smoking time a bit. Thanks again Hab for posting the recipe. ;D

Wow Iceman im glad that the pastrami turned out good.  Now i think that i want to try one too!  I was thinking the same thing that Hab was from your post :D

If I would of been half thinking when you were over this weekend I would have given you some Vampyr. Duh on me!
Those cabinets for the smokers will be delivered Tuesday night. I'll e-mail some pics to you so you can see what your in for. :D ;) I think you can get some decent briskets on base if you can get time to look.
I think your wife is P.O.d at me. She was mumbling something about I created a smoke monster out of you.Ha! Ha!
Don't tell her about the Hobart slicer I picked up Sunday or she'll never let you back over to the house. :o :D

Hab; It's rare that I really get excited about a recipe but this brought back some real good memories and forgotten taste buds. I still have a ways to go to make it perfect like your's but man o man I'm going to have fun trying. Sorry for the scare. Just got a little pumped up. Can't wait to try it again. Thanks, Patrick. ;)

No problems amigo on the invite.  ;)  I am sure that you will be smokin up something good in the future.  I am glad for the chance to meet someone that knows what they are doing and is fun to talk to.  I cant wait to see the cabinets!  :D  I just picked up a fridge for my garage for storing beer and smoked goodies  ;D
I am really getting in to smoking and the low & slo form of cooking and want to try everything!!  Good thing my wife loves pulled pork or my smokin days would be limited.  Her parents are flying in thursday and she wants me to cook some pulled pork for them (so no sleep for me).
