Hi Benbo welcome to the forum.

Not that far away from you on the Isle of Man, are you new to food smoking?

Greeting Benbo and welcome to the Forum.

Sounds very similar to how I started out many years ago apart from my water smoker being crushed by a wooden sleeper!  :)

Had Bradley's for over 15 years now... enjoy.

For us members across the pond, what in the world is a "wooden sleeper". The only thing I can picture is a fallen tree. If that is the case, back in November a fallen tree just missed one of my cookers.

A solid oak railway sleeper (railroad tie), they weight about 100kg or 220lb, i was building a garden wall and had it leaning vertically against a wall

That is also a name for railroad ties on the side of the pond. But I couldn't picture how a railroad tie could take out your smoker until you explained the situation.
