Does the Tempco 900 work with the original Bradley analog dial controller?

I have the original Bradley smoker with the analog dial controller.  This one: https://www.amazon.com/Bradley-Smoker-BS611-Original-20-25-Inch/dp/B007FFYHM0

I'd like to change the heating element to the Tempco 900, as many others have done.  But will it work with my original controller, or do I need to upgrade it too?

Welcome to the forum.

A few users have posted that they have made this mod, and are using the original controller; but I always lean towards the side of caution, and would not run this type of setup without a third party controller.
