Olds:  Put out the rain barrels man!  Put on the waders! Strap on the waterwings!

Seriously:  Take cover and report after the storm...and put them pups in the basement!

Good luck..

Good luck with Charlie!

I've been watching the TV and watching the internet here from California.  Daughter is in Tallahassee, and has never weathered a big storm as of yet.  They are even expecting some extremely bad weather even in Western Florida.  I grew up in Japan as a military brat in the mid 1950's, and remember the typhoon season.   Damn scary!  Be safe!

At this hour they are saying there is a big chance it will come into the mouth of Tampabay. Below is a map of where I live in relationship to the bay.

I hope it comes in somewhat south of the bay or the tide surg is going to be really bad. They saying possible 14 plus feet. What's the pisser is homeowners insurance does not cover that.

Olds:  You can get flood but not tidal surge?  Seems somebody should offer it...the cost would be unholy I'm sure...

As you may know we got lucky. It went in south of us. However, I really feel for those folks. In Hardy county the roof blew off of an emergency shelter---there were 1200 people in there.

It is shocking that it went from a Category 2 to a category 4 within one hour....
