Quote from the new Eagles CD

Here's part of a lyric (maybe not exactly word for word, but close) from the title track of the new Eagles CD, Long Road Out of Eden: "Gimme some of that barbecue brisket, give me a piece of that pecan pie..."  How many songs that mention brisket can you name? I'm sure an old Texas country song back in the day is a possibility, but I've never heard one before. I thought this was a sure fit for the Bradley Forum.

Thanks, coyote. It's a pretty darn good CD. A little mellower than I really like, but still good. I would say it's a must-have, because all indications are that this will be their last studio album.

Many years ago , after the band broke up , in an interview the were ask if there would ever be a
reunion. The answer......."When hell freezes over !!!".........Then years later...the "Hell Freezes over Tour"

So ya never know Ontrack , there might be more. And yes , this cd is a good one.

Hey coyote-I saw them on tour when they were hawking "The Long Run", and I saw them during the "Hell Freezes Over" tour, and, Lord help us, I'll see them on this tour, too. But, unfortunately, WE AIN'T GETTIN' NO YOUNGER. I hope they put out a dozen more albums, and tour a dozen more times, cause if I'm alive and kicking, I'll be there!
