Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the CISC BBQ school. I was thinking about it for a X-mas gift....drop a hint to my wife.

Gizmo can share some insight into Mr. Reichlin's course.  I'm unfamiliar with CISC.

I did the CISC years ago. Culinary Institute of Smoke Cooking. It's one a person would appreciate to understand why things do what they do under different conditions. It does require some attention and does have a time frame to complete the course. I had fun with it and learned a couple of good tricks. The smoking book that comes with it has some neat things in it too. You also get CIA credits that can be applied to a degree like I did. If you want some more info PM me and I'd be happy to give you a jingle this weekend.

The class I attended at the CIA was a one day course on Smoke Roasting and Grilling. I think smoke roasting is a fancy term of barbecuing with smoke. :) They now have a full week BBQ Boot camp, I'm thinking of going to, but my food interest is so varied I'm not sure which direction I want to invest the most money.

If the CIA gives you credits for this course, then it must be good  It has to has too meet very high standards for CIA accreditation.
