Yet another PID question...

My neighbor is selling his OBS and i'm thinking of buying it to have more capacity during fishing season.  I'm planning to build a PID for my OBS and my question is - - can one PID control two towers?

I was thinking that i could install a thermocouple in one tower and split the power cord so they go to each tower.  Would the second tower maintain the same temp as the tower with the TC?  The obvious drawback is that i can only have one temp in both towers.

What if i install a TC in each tower.  Are there single PIDs that can monitor/control 2 TCs?

I guess i'm cheap  ;D and want to get the most bang for the buck.
