Was decided on a CG-15 (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602009-cat570002&rid=&indexId=cat570002&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=2&parentType=index&parentId=cat570002&id=0030017) But now looking at the Pro2300 (http://www.vacuum-sealer-bags.com/cg-15_vacuum_sealer.htm).  Has anybody used the Pro2300???

If anyone has a CG-15 can you look at it and tell me if it is actually rated at 935watts? There was discussion on one web page it is actually only rated at 425 watts and Cabela's information is incorrect.  Also would it be possible to use a 3rd party jar sealer as they do in the video at http://www.provacuumsealers.com/ ?

Thanks,
Nodak

If Nepa sees this he could look at the ones where he works and find out for you. You might even PM him.

Hey Nodak

The CG-15 is a good sealer. I have one works great on larger cuts of meat and portions to be frozen. Only thing is try to keep the tape covering the sealing element clean, top and sticky side next to the element. I had to buy a roll of the tape from allied kenco.
