Just before Skyway went down into his wheel chair I purchase this car for myself. After that I had to purchase Jeep so I could carry him and the wheel chair. I figure for another 5,000 and it will be a cream puff. It has a small block V8 and a 4-BBL. Yesterday someone stopped and ask me if I would sell it. Well it has been sitting there for a good year, so I charged up the battery today and took her for a spin. So when they came back I said sorry... I just cannot get rid of this toy.

Now I know my friends in Canada know what kind of car this is, but I bet the Americans here do not. If you think you know then post your answer.

(They are doing some maintenance on my server so this pic might take a few to load.)

Who made this car and what is it?

BTW It is NOT a Chevy EL Camino! Some fool put that on there before I purchased it. Hint it is a 1986 model.

1986 Malibu Sedan Pick-up AKA El Camino is my guess.

Nope, only from the sides does it look like an El Camino. Show me an El Camino with a Malibu SS front end on it and I will show you one someone customized.  This car I'm told is stock~~! It was never sold in this country [:D]

Bill,

You have tried so hard I got to tell what it is: It is a 1986 Canadian Pontiac Grand Prix! They are very rare. In fact try finding one on the net. I can't.

In the pixs below you will see that it is indeed a GP. Plus the dash is classic 1980s Pontiac.

Once business slows down some on my end I'm going to restore this puppy! Maybe even put in a big block. A 454 with glass packs should work ... don't your think? Then I will be Mr. [8D]

PAsmoker

Olds, my uncle had an El Camino SS that looked just like that (except his was silver).  Factory stock, made for the US market, with that front end.

No kidding! I've searched and searched and the only ones I have found with that nose have been kit cars. I cannot even find any reference to a  Canadian Pontiac Grand Prix. I've begin to wonder if the nose on this one is not a kit. I know you can get the kits still and the goods ones just bolt right into the original mounting brackets.

I think I will write to Pontiac and find out the truth.

EDIT: I have just written to them....
