Anyone on here hail from Chattanooga, TN?  May be going there the first of April weather permitting.

I'm not..............................But I'd say it would be worth the 9 hr drive just to shake hands with the
Wildcat and compare stories for a while. :) 8)

Thanks Coyote.  This trip is for our 20th anniversary.  We have been to Chattanooga before and loved it.  I just figured that if there were any forum members in the area we could get together for a short visit one day.  I also figured someone from the area could tell us of a particular tourist attraction's location that we could not find the last time we were there.  We will be there most of the first week of April unless the weather is bad.  In that case we will probably head down to central Florida for a few days.  This was the same approach we had 20 years ago when we got married.  Went south that year due to weather.  If we do not make it to TN in April, we will go this summer.

I live about 3-1/2 hours north of there, but have only spent 2 nights there...about 10-12 years ago. She was having her "show dog" showed at a dog show down there. I don't remember much about the place, but I do recall sitting in the room watching my WVU boys whip up VA Tech while she was at the dog show. And the strip club beside the motel opened about 10 minutes AFTER she got back to the room >:(. She drug me out to a HUGE mall, which I hated, but there were several nice bars around, so I was OK. I could of had a really great time there, but wifey was worried about her very expensive show dog (RIP) in a motel room alone, so we didn't get to do the town like I would have liked...Probably not much help to you Wildcat, but I'm sure you can have a great time there, and Happy Anniversary!

Thanks guys.  The 20 years really went fast.  Ya know how it goes when your having fun.

I kind of thought it was a long shot.  We really enjoyed the town last time, espcially the Mrs.  Other than it gets cold there, the only thing I do not like about the place is that the sales taxes are very high.

You are dead on about the sales taxes, Wildcat. We live 2 miles from the TN border and our VA Best Buy (4 miles away) doesn't open for another month or so. Had to go across the state line to buy a big screen last weekend, and it cost us $180 more than we could have bought it for here in VA. Had to have it, though. :-\
