Well I finally have my PID modification put together and made a schematic. About all I need to do now is knock a couple holes in the enclosure and do the wiring.
I think I would like to drill a small hole through the back of the BDS near the existing Bradley temp probe to put my new thermocouple in. I just think it will look cleaner than running the wire through the top vent.
My question is, has anyone had the back opened up to see if there are any wires or other obstructions in that area of the tower? I'm not sure how the existing temp probe wires are routed and do not want to drill through them.
I also have the cold smoke box modification cut out and bent into shape but need to weld it up and paint it before I can install it. I'm making it out of 16 gauge steel which should be fairly light.

I look forward to seein pics of your finished cold smoke box. Im lookin for ideas for my own

I pretty sure the factory temp prop wires are not consistently in the exact same place. I would grab the cordless and take the back of the tower off, or at least far enough that you can get a look at the wires to ensure it won't be a problem.

It sounds like you have a good handle on a couple of great projects.

Kane, Mike,
I'll be sure to post pics and details of each project as they are completed. I think the PID will get done first, the enclosure is painted, all the devices are mounted, I need to mount a receptacle thru the enclosure and a couple circuit breakers then just wire it all. One side of the receptacle will be for the heat in the tower and the other will be to plug the smoke generator into. Each will have it's own circuit breaker along with a main breaker. I'll get into more details after it is finished.
