Mr Walleye

I'm just wondering what anybody else is doing to push the last bit of meat through their stuffer?

I've heard of using bread or rice but I have never really tried using anything yet.

Any thoughts?.....

I just use some left over cooked rice (cold) in mine. Then I take the horn off and push the meat out of that with a piece of wood dowel that fits snug inside it.

I do the same, but use various size dowels that fit the tube that I am using. Also I cover the dowel with plastic wrap. It prevents the meat from sticking to the wood, and makes it easier to clean.

Thanks guys!

I guess I'll have to give the cooked rice a shot. I'll also use a set of callipers and measure the inside of all my stuffing tubes and cut up a few pieces of dowel to have handy.
