Mr Walleye

I noticed you were trying to post a couple of pictures and you were still having some problems. I did manage to pick up the address of your photos before you deleted it. The only problem you had was one of the brackets was in the wrong place. Here is what it should look like except I had to change these brackets [ ] to these { } in order for you to see this.

{img}http://render-2.snapfish.com/render2/is=Yup6aQQ%7C%3Dup6RKKt%3Axxr%3D0-qpDPfRt7Pf7mrPfrj7t%3DzrRfDUX%3AeQaQxg%3Dr%3F87KR6xqpxQPoGxJaGxnJ0xv8uOc5xQQQGleJQJoaQaqpfVtB%3F*KUp7BHSHqqy7XH6gX0QPGQ%7CRup6G00%7C/of=50,590,393{/img}

Below I changed the brackets back to the square ones [ ] and your photos should display correctly.

Well, looks like the pressure plate for a new transmission on the BS. Instead of a PID, this appears to be a clutched system varying the air flow across a mega-heating element.  :o

Actually I think the shinny thing on top is the gate for the horses at the track.  The wheel below is for the hamsters to run on to generate the power necessary to drop the gate to release the horses.  Bets up, money down.

Hi LQ

Beefman did some mods to his Bradley. He added a 900 watt finned strip heater with a cage style blower and a shrowd on it. He was having trouble posting pictures. Here's the rest of the story.

Thanks Mike...I read the entire post...and am about to ask a really (probably) stupid question...(which is not unusual for me..) If the point of smoking is low and slow...or even a higher heat for say...poultry...what would be the point to add more heat to the box by adding an increased wattage? Or am I just not getting the whole concept in my pea brain?

Mr Walleye

That's not a stupid question!

Just a question coming from somebody in a warm climate!  ;)  :D

I believe it is also a way of getting to temperature faster and holding it there with large loads.  The fan is to provide air movement similar to the desired result of convection heating.  You will not be able to acheive true convection heating (without a lot of modification) but the stir fan should help if you don't overdue it and blow all the smoke out in the process.
