Habs, great idea to simulate a load. Thanks.  :)

Wildcat, When you work around temperature controls all the time it gets easier. I'm sure you have learned a lot from using your new controller already.  ;)

Iceman, I hope to try it out next weekend. This weekend is pretty much shot. I was away on business last week and now I'll spend all weekend getting caught up on what I missed doing last week. I still need to get my taxes done!  :(  BTW did you ever find the 'Hot Salt'? I have to get groceries tomorrow, I can look to see if I can find some around here if you like.

And to top everything else off a bear got into my bird feeders while I was away and now I have that to clean up and repair.

Still can't find it up here. If you can find it buy it and I'll more than be glad to reimburse you for it.

pensrock,

Very nice. Always a pleasure to see well dressed wiring... I mean, who wants to go out and drink with poorly dressed wiring??

Looks like you have enough copper and controls for a 20KW radiant heater for 450 milliseconds pulses to crisp up chicken; very thoughtful.

Arcs, Thanks, I guess it could have looked better but I got in a hurry. What do they say? You always do a better job on someone elses project than on your own. I'm building a panel that calls for a 600 amp main disconnect. It will be running six 90 amp SCR's to 75kva 3 phase power transformers then to the heating elements. The heating elements are made of silicone carbide, each zone should be able to handle 2200 degrees F. I'm glad I'm not paying the electric bill for one of those furnaces.  ;)

Know what you mean. First job I had we had PG&E put in a 250MW sub-station for our experiment. Cost the lab $10K/month just to keep the line hot.
