Good morning.

After nice night prepping about 8 slabs of ribs ... went to cure the smoker this AM and ... nothing.

I have a 4 rack digital smoker that I purchased a few weeks back.  Seeing that this would be my first smoke, I was going to
cure the unit first.

When the unit is first plugged in, there is a beep and all LED's are illuminated.

However, when I go to turn on the "smoker" unit .. there is nothing .. it will not power up.
But ... I can power on the "oven" unit.

Had a look at the fuse and it is ok ... tried this on various outlets around the house and the same outcome.

Any ideas???

uhoh, welcome to the forum

So if I have this correct, your tower heater works but your smoke generator does not?

If this is the case there would be nothing wrong with either the power you are suppling or the fuse because neither would work. The first thing I would try is, after you have plugged it in, you have to turn on the tower heater on the right hand of the display and you have to turn on the smoke generator on the left hand side of the display. I have heard of people having problems pushing the button/micro switch hard enough. Sometimes it's either not pushing hard enough or also having big fingers can also be a problem because the pressure sensitive portion of the switch is in the very centre of the button.

The other questions is, when you first plug it in and or turn it on, does the display show anything?

Mike ... you are an absolute genius!!!

I was not pushing hard enough on the button to activate the "smoker" section as you mentioned.

Used the base of my thumb (and not the tip) and the puppy fired right up!

Going to cure the unit and then smoke the ribs tomorrow.

Mike .. I truly appreciate the fact that you took the time to reply.

Thank you so much!!!

All kidding aside, Mike is one of my go to guys for any problems with the Bradley.

Glad you got it working, Uhoh and welcome.
