I bought a Bradley and had it sent to my daughter. I also made a PID and sent that to her. She called me up about needing an adapter. Is the male plug from the smoker box different then a standard 3 prong plug?
If it is, where can I get the correct male plug.

Thanks, Brad

I don't think so Brad.  I believe you can use any standard computer cord and that should work.  Someone with far more electrical know-how than I should be along to help you soon.

I'm using an old computer cord with my PID (cut it in half and wired it in), plug one end to the box and the other to an outlet.  If she's trying to plug it into the back of the Smoke Generator, the newer smokers (think 2007 on) need something similar to the computer cord end, but reversed (if that makes sense).  Did you build it with a computer style cord?  If so, have her just plug it straight into the wall, with the smoke generator in the other half of the outlet.

The short power cord that now is shipped with the newer Bradley's look like this
IEC-320-C13 connector

That's why you need to replace that cord with a standard desktop power cord.

Wait something is not making sense to me. I have the older smoker and it uses this type of cord from the PID controller to the heating element. And this same type of cord  from the PID to Generator.

Before I was using a PID controller it used this type of cord from the generator to the heating element (main box.)

Old;

My older version (2004) has the cord that you posted on the top; which is the same as a desktop computer cord. There was a design change, but I'm not sure which year they changed the cord. I do recall you had to replace a couple of generators. Is it possible you received one of the newer generators as a replacement.
