Does anyone know if there are any stores in central NC that stock them. I have called a few places with no luck. I live in Winston Salem. I have a  bbq for a friend that I am going to cook for this Sat. I like to cook my boston butts for 12 hrs but man it is exhausting. And now I am probably going to have to work on Sat. I have a pull behind charcoal cooker but like I said it is so much work. I would love to just set it and walk away. I dont care if it took 15 hrs to cook fully loaded.  Does anyone know where I could get one by Friday the 12th.??? Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum.  You should have a Bass Pro in your area.  Some of them carry the Bradley's.

Called Bass Pro and they have none :(  Who is Bryan and where is the Yard and Pool place located? Do you have a contact number or web address for Yard and Pool?
Thanks

Lawn guy,
I would hook up with Bryan at Yard and Pool.  FedEx overnight could get it there in time but I have to tell you, if you load up a 6 rack with butts, the odds are it is going to take longer than 15 hours.  We will all help you all we can.  This is a pretty big project for your first time using a 6 rack BDS but we're here for you.

Let us know how we can help.

Ok thank you so much for the help. I also emailed bradley to see if there is any place here in Nc within a couple of hours drive that has them. It would have be a nice idea if I would have thought to get one a couple of weeks ago.  :o  I didnt think it would be this hard to find with all the big name retailers on Bradleys websit like bass pro, sports authority, Dicks sporting goods. Etc. If it takes longer than 15 hrs its ok if I can find one. I have to have them ready by 5:00 Saturday. Just not looking forward to staying up all night considering I will have to work on Saturday with all the rain we have got. I did call Gander mtn and they have the original BS 4 rack. I guess if I cant find one soon I could get that one and make two batches. Again thank you for the help and advice!!!

After smoking you can always boat them in a foil pan and transfer them to the house oven to accelerate the process a little.

Yea I have read some websites about doing that I guess. Didnt think about that. If I got the 4 rack OBS I could smoke them for a while, put them in the oven and start the second batch. How much smoke is enoug for four boston butts do yall think. Eight or nine total. Yall  :D you can tell im from the south.   8) Thanks!

4 hours of smoke is all I put on anything.  Some things take less.

Smokin Soon

I have recomended Bradley Smokers to a few friends that have tasted my goodies. The only ones that had problems early on were the "rush cookers" They want to plan there day with precision, plant some stuff in the smoker, run off for the day and come back to perfect results, ready to serve to guests. Not Gonna Happen!!!

Spend some time on this forum and learn from those who have made the mistakes. I joined the forum long before I bought my Bradley, and it was very informitive. Welcome to the forum and learn from the masters here.
You might have great success with a pork butt of 7 pounds one weekend and then do another thinking it will be preciseley the same time, planning on serving your guests. NOT! These chunks of pork seem to be a mystery all together, one might take 1 hour more to get to the proper temp.

Arm yourself with an et-73, a good supply of adult beverages and smell the smoke!

Habanero Smoker

Hi Newlymowedlawns,

Welcome to the forum.

Yard and Pool is located in Maryland, so if you call Bryan and explain he could probably ship early this morning, and you will have within 3 days.

Also the benefit from ordering from Yard and Pool is that Brian is a Bradley user and can tell you what else you will need to get up and running. A lot of new smokers just order the smoker and realize that no bisquettes come with it.

Yard and Pool phone number is 1-866-740-7657.

Another option is you can check Sears, but this time of year they are not displaying any grills or smokers in the stores.

newlymowedlawns,

We would be glad to help you out. We are located in Maryland. Time in transit to NC via UPS is 2 days so if you ordered today you would have your smoker by Friday. If interested give us a call this morning after 8:30am EST. I will be out of the office today but you can ask for George. He can take care of you.  Good luck with your search.
