Oldman

Last year I did not say anything, but my health was an issue. Today I'm ok and back in the grove. I was not able many days to walk Skyway last year.

As you know Skyway just got his chair back. I posted that he was guarding his chair, but today he ripped my heart.

As we got closer to the house he stopped walking. It took a few to understand that he did not want to go to the house. To do so he would have to come out of his chair.

Well Susan helped me get him in the house. We placed him on his Click-Clack and within minutes he flipped himself around to be closer to his chair.

I think this image of him on his chair says it all.

It is his freedom...

God bless you, Olds.  There are many people out there who don't take care of their children as well as you take care of your pets.  Good on you!

You'd better not let Skyway see the mods you've had done to the Midget, or he'll be wanting 5.1 sound, and a soft top for his chair!

Skyway must have bags of character, and you must be very proud of him

Dear Skyway,

Check out dad's ride.  Let him know he could at least let you ride in it and smoke ya some ribs more often.  Make sure he does not throw any of the bones in the trash when your not looking.  ;D

Funny you should say this... as I've been thinking of how to get him in the Midget and at the said time protect it from him...OPPS sorry Dad it  just slipped.

Today he was with me in my Jeep almost 4 hours. He loves to ride. Of course when I know I will be taking him to the Vet (like this morning) and then on to 2 business calls I don't allow him to drink after midnight or have breakfast in the morning. I do give him 1 -2 ice cubes in the morning but nothing else.

Through the past 5 years we have more money in his chair than any 5.1 sound and a soft top.

When it is raining (he does not care) we have a couple of time fixed up a cover for his head... off he goes!

Not much to say Oldman other than I understand.  One of my greatest flaws and highest privilieges is that I have had the pleasure of sharing company with some exceptional dogs.

Oldman, please forgive me for coming in late on this thread. May I ask what is wrong with your dog Skyway?

Reason I ask is I was raised around dogs all my life and have an extreme soft spot for all of them :/

Lost mine about 5 years ago and its still hard, thats why I wish to be careful asking about Skyway if you dont mind please.

PS, I showed this to my father as well, he got pretty choked up also.

5 years back he had a nerve die in his back... I saw him take his very last step. In the first 24 hours we spent close to 2K in the best medical experts but to no avail.

Today his life is good and that is what counts.
Thanks for asking,
Olds

Hey, he is extremely lucky to have adopted you. You obviously treat him like a king, which he should. I know I did my best to treat my brother as well as I could.

Prayers go out to him for his comfort.
