Hooters Hot Wings

Did some Hooter Copy Cat wings - sorry, no hooters, just the wings!!
Here they are:

Here is the recipe for 10 wings:

The sauce:
1/4 C butter, melted
1/4 C Louisiana hot sauce
dash pepper
dash garlic powder

The wings:
1/2 C flour
1/4 t paprika
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/4 t salt

Coat the wings with the flour mixture, and put in the 'fridge for 60-90 minutes.
Heat oil in  a deep fryer to 375 degrees.  Fry wings for 10-15 minutes .
Drain wings on paper towel, then put in large bowl.  Add the sauce and stir to coat wings evenly.

Enjoy!!!!!

Neat idea, SD!  Hot smoke?  Cold smoke?  For how long?

I would do a hot smoke for about 1:20 to 2:00 hrs of smoke.

And, I'm gonna take your word on Scott and the tight orange shorts.  Really, no pic needed for that  ;D

We might just have to try that and soon....possibly New Year's Eve.  We have been debating on going out for dinner versus staying in and fixing different munchies.
I think we are leaning towards staying in, and the hot wings with the touch of smoke will be on our menu.
We will let you know what we think.

Great and if Scott wants to dress up in his orange shorts then, well, I guess that would be okay but I would definitely recommend staying in.  I'm afraid if I wore those things I would look like Richard Simmons........and that scares the heebie jeebies outta me!  :o ;D
