I had about 15 minutes where I was getting connection timed out to this site.
Anyone else have this problem.

We are moving 3 racks full of servers from FL to KY tomorrow. It should be an adventure.

Ah gotcha FL, we just have our DR site and hope we have all of our data backed up!   ;D  Back in the mainframe days got to go to Seattle with a butt load of 3480 tapes, restore a system and eat some serious seafood for half a week!  Now just about a dozen tapes and the server admin gets to go, but to Dallas so whoop-dee-do!  This whole new point and click world is amazing!

Are the servers going to be accessed from FL?  I hope they did some good testing on the data access when going over the WAN.  Most people look at bandwidth and if they look like they have plenty of BW they think they are good to go.  Many applications today are still not written for WAN access and have problems working efficiently (or at all) with latency over long distance and latency due to congestion.
Good luck.

Yes - the Clients are still going to be mostly in FL, but we have 45 other sites that are accessing it over the WAN now, so for them it is a lateral move. We've tested and tested and tested it. Choked the whole place down through a "WAN Emulator" . The apps are fat client web apps. We are moving the db servers that serve up the backend data.
