Kummok, if you have not located it yet or had help from the forum, let me know.  I am located here in little Norway and might have a shot at it if anybody does.  I will give the local liquor emporiums a once over although I am sure they will be surprised at seeing my face! ;D ;D ;D  I am good on the salmon but would be willing to facilitate things in exchange for an invite some time if I ever make it as far north as your digs.  I'm thinking an afternoon with something cold and frosty and with something smoked on the side!

Maddog 20/20, man that brings back memories. Not all of them good.  ;) ::) ;D
Hmmmmm my friend and I were just discussing the pleasures of Strawberry Hill at 99 cents a bottle when we were in high school. I stopped at Total Wine store today and no luck there either.

Certainly don't need an offering of booze to get an invite up here, SS  ;) :D  Consider yourself invited regardless of locating the hootch. Yer always welcome at our campfire and there's usually a stout or porter in the fridge along with smoked salmon at the ready. The view of Kachemak Bay off our deck has been known to capture some excellent visits and help establish some long term friends. "Cold & frosty" would describe ANY object that you can carry out to the deck right now, but during the summer months, room temp merlot and chilled stout are the beverage du jour....... got plenty for you!

Kummok,

I think I'm gonna meet my parents up your way this year.  Their cruise is ending up in Anchorage, and I've been wanting to get my dad up there for some fishing.  He's in his early 70's and still gets around pretty good.  Any ideas about lodging and/or cabins would be appreciated.  I've only stayed in Downtown Anchorage and at Lands End in Homer.  Also any ideas about rivers to fish would be helpful.  The only fishing I've done in your part of the country is for them big flounders and some trolling in the salt for salmon as well as in Halibut Bay I believe.  Also trapped some shrimp.  Would like to do some salmon fishing, some trout and/or steelhead, some halibut, as well as clamming and if possible crab and shrimp trapping.  Right this moment, I can't remember when this trip will be, but I think early summer.  PM me with any ideas.

Kummok, thought if I told the wife booze was a prerequisite I could maybe lay in a supply for myself! :P
Thanks for the hospitality, will make it a priority to stop by if I drift that far sometime.  Stout, Porter, smoked salmon and the view sound just right.  The view from my deck is likewise captivating, the wild life tends to be the topper, Orca's and a small humpback once along with the more usual seals, sea lions and such.  Got a nice spot for the crab pot right out back too!  Cold and frosty at this time would describe the man sized chunks of ice coming off the roof and this nasty, white, slushy stuff I keep stumbling in when I head out the door!  The door is always open here also if the currents carry you this far.  Sangria has been our summer time poison the last couple of years but I try to keep an open mind about these things!

Sadly, I am unable to deliver on the Lillehammer.  The local stores have heard of it but don't have it.  Got the Alaska Bootleggers Bible here and I am sure I could find a homebrewed version but a little late for berry picking this year.  Good luck Kummok, hope you find the good stuff in time to share with your friend!
