Looking for a very unique ligonberry liqueur from Norway. It's called Lillehammer....(I reckon because that's where it's made...go figger). Anyway, it's intended to be a gift for a friend and I haven't been able to locate a bottle ANYWHERE so far. If anyone finds one at their local gin store, I'd be willing to exchange for Wild Alaskan King/Red Salmon.

I don't get to the liquor store too often but will look for it for you.

Might try SimanBottle.com - they tend to have lots or liquers  I think they are in Georgia.

That sounds VERY tempting about now, Olds....  minus 0°F temps for a few weeks now...getting old!  I know, I know, I live in Alaska, but Homer is supposed to be the Alaskan banana belt with above 0 freezing temps and more snow. Algore is public enemy #1 right now in MY house....where's his "global warming" when we really need it!?!?!?   ::)   ;) :D :D   On the GOOD side of these temps....we're not having our normal above/below freezing roller coaster ride so the road mud is not present and the cars are staying unusually clean....I didn't realize that we had sooooo many vehicles of different colors here....thought that we ALL owned brown vehicles!

Wow Kummok, if you slip slide too much down Homer Spit Road you could end up in Katchemak Bay or the Boat Basin.  Long live the Salty Dog.  Oh and China Poot Lake!  Love that name.

Kummok,
I stopped in the liquor store Friday. They do not have the Lillehammer you are searching for.
Sorry,

Read a few places they are not sure if they make the Lillehammer anymore but I will check the total wine superstore for you, this is as close as I could Google http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-3249.aspx They do ship to the U$ though.

La Quinta

I'll check BevMo out here...Giz has them down his way as well...

ThanX all!! Really appreciate the efforts to locate this hootch. The friend that this is intended for goes all the way back to the 50s with me, (and he also keeps me supplied with wild Alaskan Silver Sage!).....knew forum family would be the ones able to come up with this if anyone could!

Carnie:
ThanX for the link....might have to use this as a backup?!?!? Might be that there's a ligonberry famine in Norway!

Smoking Duck

I've got a couple places I'll look tomorrow, Kummok.  However, this is Indiana....Ligonberry might be tough, but I'll bet I could keep you in a lifetime supply of Mad Dog 20/20  ;D

Steeler....she's a keeper!
