Jim Beam Bisquettes

Tabasco Pucks!!!!! SIGN ME UP!!!!

Been working on a cheese steak recepie:
cold smoked meat, cheese, onions & peppers   <-- use Tabasco pucks if they exist
stir fry meat with tabasco sauce
add cooked veggies
add cheese
add more tabasco
put into toasted loaf
enjoy   ;D

do you cold smoke the veggies with the meat?

I assume use Tabasco to taste, which for me thats a few bottles. can't get enough of that stuff :)

Any particular cheese? I bet pepper jack is pretty good with something like that.

what if you soaked some hickory pucks for a day or two and then into a dehydrator?

At the same time meat and veggies but on different trays and veggies above meat in the Bradley

Typically I use Provolone and plain Jack.  Pepper jack could be good - haven't tried that yet.

The thing about tabasco is that when stirfrying with it, I find that the flavor stays and the heat goes away - that's why I add more near the end.

Wouldn't the pucks unbind when soaking in a liquid and become a soup of tabasco and wood shavings?

Before the days of JB bisquettes, I tried sprinkling bourbon to the bisquettes and letting them dry before using (I was kind or nervous that the alchol would ignite). It deformed the bisquettes enough that they did not feed through the cute correctly.
