Asking an owner of the largest HEMI engine in the world what is the "Gas Mileage." DUH! No one purchases a HEMI and even thinks of mileage.

I've been asked this question a good 10-12 times...

Olds,

Interesting you should say that.

I have been looking for a new truck to pull our travel trailer and just purchased a Dodge 2500 quad cab heavy-duty HEMI. I also just figured out the gas milage... WON'T DO THAT AGAIN....

Maybe I didn't need a truck that big.... Hmmmmmm

It is fun to drive though!

What happened to the first 6 UP's?

My dad and my hubbie both own Dodge Ram trucks.
My dad recently sent me this picture with the caption: Chevys aren't Ram Tough
I put the pic on my photobucket site, didn't want to offend any one. ;D

Wow, that was a nice ram!  I think the truck looks halfway decent.  I once saw the remains of a Porsche after hitting an 800 pound black bear........the truck looks unscratched comparatively speaking  ;D

You mean you DON'T get good gas mileage with that HEMI????  ;)

Maybe if you kept your foot off the gas, you'd get good mileage!

Ha-Ha....I only wish!

We live about 10 minutes from the plant that made the original Humvee and the wife always used to ask me how much they cost in gas......my reply then and now is always the same.......if you could afford to buy that big SOB, you don't need to worry about the gas mileage  ;D

You should have the 5.7 HEMI if I'm correct. We gave our operations manager my 06 Overland Jeep that has a 5.7 HEMI and all I can say is that is one solid engine.  For its size it really moves that jeep.

BTW he is really happy with the Jeep...I only put 16K mileage on it.
