Not only have I seen them, but I've fired them.  They are a beast, to say the least.  I wouldn't want to go groundhog hunting with them unless my goal was total annihilation  ;D

Now that's a nice looking piece of machinery.  The nice thing about the .50 cal....it sure is a lot easier to police up the ammo than the M-16  ;D

I wish I could post the pics I have a 50 cal tracer rounds and explosive tips.  Did a project with them a while back and they are very impressive.

I did some video at some live fire ranges my son tok me to. He said i cant post them because Special Forces and Delta Force use the range. The vids i have are cool, live fire of mark19 and sniper range.

I used to do some research while I was in the military and I was actually the first person to fire the JAVELIN anti-tank weapon (from an enclosed position) that they were working on (this was in the early 90's).  Now, that, was a rush!  Of course, this was done in conjunction with a lot of testing on the by-products from the combustion.  They actually paid me to take blood, urine and semen samples.  I think it was like $75 at the time (which was a lot of money to us young military guys).  Told them if they'd been around when I was 13, I'd have been a millionaire by now.   :o  Ahh, Redstone Arsenal.  I loved that place.....great place for TDY.......good food and sweet tea!

Duck, I been down there in Huntsville.  There was this great southern place out in the cotton fields that had some great food.  Best Hush Puppies I ever had.  Wild place out in no-where.  Driving on Redstone was cool place.

I was there many times.  I spent a lot of time in Alabama (went to basic at Ft McClellan; I think that's been closed for awhile now).  I loved it down there.  Nowhere up here makes Sweet Tea ('cept McDonalds and that sucks).  I had some pretty good Q down there at one joint but can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

When the quad 50's let go in Vietnam it was most impressive.
Somedays you're the pigeon, Somedays you're the statue.

We used the 50cal. As a spoter round on the 106. little bang before the big boom.
