Sometimes, when I have a problem with the automatic puck advance, I need to hit the manual advance button to move the next puck in place. When I do this, does the 20 minute timer for the smoker get reset to start a new 20 minute interval?

Thanks
Bart

Hi, that is what mine does.  I have an OBS and have checked that out.
Somedays you're the pigeon, Somedays you're the statue.

I have a digital and it does not reset the timer.  Changing the digital time setting for the puck will.  I suspect you have an original and if I recall, others have posted that the only way to reset the puck timer is to unplug the system, but then that will also cycle the puck advance as well.

Hi BBQ Bart;
Welcome to the forum.

When you advance the bisquettes manually, that resets the cycle and the advanced bisquette will burn 20 minutes.

As others pointed out, you should try to repair the problem as to why the bisquettes won't advance on occassions.
