Decided to do Jerky today. Four pounds flank steak, Hi Mountain Jerky seasoning
1/4" slices.

After 2 hrs smoke with hickory steady 200 degrees with pid

Loaded into dehydrator for 2 hour dry

Finished, I prefer my Jerky moist and chewy, not crunchy dry. four pounds reduced
to 1 1/2 pounds.

Oh Yeah, a little personal seasoning goes along with the process

That's not just required seasoning... It's a required immune protection system!  ;D

Jerky looks great. Good job.

Is the cigar a Punch or Partagas? I used to be a 10 cigar a day smoker. My fav are Arturo Fuente. My wife and doc said way too many smokes, so now i am down to 1 a month with a pipe smoke here and there but its done outside  :o

Nice jerky

Great cigars. This is a Saint Luis Rey corona...Honduras. I smoke 2 to 3 cigars per week and always....always when smoking meat. They just go together.

Agreed the accy you displayed are natural to go with Smoking.  Unfortunately I have the same Dr as NePa and a pissy family about some stuff (thankfully) ... Has been missed greatly since Jan 12, 2009
