My favorite shows are Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.  I just love it when Gordon Ramsay tears into somebody.  Course, if he did it to me, we'd be throwing fists but that'll never happen to me so I enjoy him doing it to other people.

I also love Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Gangland and a myriad of other shows where I learn something I didn't know.  I like the throwdown with Bobby Flay and DDD with Guy Fieri as well.  Oh and there's just something about Giada.  I'm not really sure what her shows are about but she is, mmmmmmmm captivating.

SD, you love GANGLAND????  I love that show!  Iron Chef too - both the American and Japanese versions.  I also like Ice Road Truckers, Forensic Files, and Operacion Repo!
Scott thinks I'm crazy, but I guess I never really was much of a "Friends" fan.........
And I know you guys love Giada, and that's cool.  I love her too, but not the same way you do!
I love Michael Simon and Masaharu Morimoto the way that you love Giada!
You have your cheesecake, and I have my beefcake!
The Mrs......  ;)

Mr Walleye

 :D  :D  :D  :D  ;D

Where's Arcs.... Oh, there he is...

I'm drinkin' at a distance with Arcs on this one...  :D

I think if a man doesn't think Giada is beautiful he needs to have his hormones checked!

Did you know her father is the Italian director Dino de Laurentis?   She had a baby not too long ago, didn't she?

Yes and I'm still angry about that.  The fact that she was cheating on me in the first place is bad enough but flaunting the baby is just downright cruel   ;D ;D ;D

Memory serves me correctly, the family wasn't very happy that she became a chef.  I think she could have gone into about anything and would have been successful.  Going into the sacred bond of matrimony with me would have been my first pick but sadly, she didn't consult with me on it.  ;) :D

Yea, I love Gangland and all different types of shows.  They sometimes run shows on different mob leaders that's pretty good as well.  I watch anything dealing with La Cosa Nostra.

Glad you cleared that up there - I was a wondering.

Don't know about Giada - her head is too big for the rest of her..........nnnaaawwww  I'd be more of a blubbering fool it she spoke to me!   I'd faint!  But I respect her for her recipes, her ironclad knowledge of cooking techniques and how she can keep her nails and lipstick so perfect.  Does anybody know what her last dish was or was everyone just looking a the front of her shirt?

I don't watch much TV - I've never heard of some of them shows that ya'll like!

Not too hot on the contest shows anymore.  Sorta like the "how to decorate a whole house for $100" type shows that are on HGTV.  The concept is fine, but give them enough time to do a really good job rather than half way done.  The Daughter was home last night and had the tube on and I saw Chopped for the first time.  That was an odd show, but kinda stereotypical.  Judges were.....well I'd call them strange, but that wouldn't be nice.  The host has his schtick but I guess it is aimed to a younger audience.  Then the baskets of 4 or 5 incongruous ingredients and only a few minutes to prepare something.  Just the few minutes I watched it, more than one dish did not get done, and others could not properly do other ingredients because of the time.  Why would I want to see badly prepared food, I can go to lots of restaurants around here and see that.  Oh, it's about the people! duh!!!!  and the thrill of competition!!!  This is a food network, I go to it to find out about great food and how to prepare it.  It's been Vannatized.  I don't want to see some screeching Paula Deen eating on a rooftop in Paris.  Nor do I want to see a show, that has dumb enough judges that they can't tell the difference between a properly cooked low and slow rack of ribs and a oven cooked rack with smoked salt.  What is the appeal of seeing people fail?
