BPS Pork Butt

That looks pretty good, Don,t forget now, when you come back up don't overload that thing with green peanuts, boiled peanuts, cracklins, bbq sauce etc, they got laws about overweight vehicles ya know  ;D

The total smoke time was 4 hours then another 7 w/o smoke. My mother in law is a volunteer at Florida Caverns State park in the winter. They have their own area to hook up the motor homes at, so not too many campers here to share with.
Heading back north on sat morn.

Have you ever done a large load in the BPS, like 3 or four butts ?

How does the heat output of the BPS compare to the OBS ?

I have not done a heavy load in the BPS. Unlike the OBS and its brothers which are insulated, the BPS cover is not insulated so the heat retention is not that good. My thermapen inserted into a vent hole at the top read 280* in back and 150* at a bottom vent hole. I try to use the top 2 racks in the BPS.
