Brisket and Butts

My first brisket, had room in the smoker so let's rub a couple butts and throw them in there too.  4 hours of hickory and then in the oven to finish.  Finished product posted tomorrow.


And since we are looking...

Besides thinking I can control the "cook" temp better in the house oven, the dirty little secret is when I wake up in the morning, the house will smell SO good!

Finished brisket. Sorry, no butt pics.  They literally fell apart when I moved them from the roasting pan.

For my first brisket I'm pretty pleased although as I said earlier, smoking beef is pretty foreign in my part of the country.
