Tim,
I'm really sorry to hear about your dad.
I hope it eases the pain some as you said, the nurses did a good job of preventing any pain during his last days with you. I like to express my sincere condolences.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Dad many years ago when I was the age of 19 and it's not an easy thing.

Thoughts and Prayers to you and your family.

My prayers are with you.  It is nice that he did not seem to be suffering during this period and did not leave you until he told you how much you meant to him.  If there is anything I can do for you just let me know.  If you need to get away for awhile, my home is your home.
Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.

Tim,

My condolences.  KyNola said it very well, your Dad told you that he was proud of you.  That's something to hold on to.  Try to remember the good times, and when you find yourself down, remember that all of us nutcases are still here, and would love to try to put a smile on your face.

Tim,
Hold on to the good thoughts - those are the ones that count, hold them sacred and guard them and cherish them.  No one can take those away from you.  Remember them always and often.  My heart and my prayers are with you.  May God wrap his loving arms around your, and your family and bring you some peace amidst this change.

May God be with you

A Celtic Blessing of Remembered Joy

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

Tim,

You have not bummed us out. It sounds like you were very close to your father . Cherish the thoughts and memories. God bless you.

A LITTLE MORE LOVE AND GOODNESS
A LITTLE MORE LIGHT AND TRUTH COMES INTO THE
WORLD, THEN THAT PERSON'S LIFE HAS HAD MEANING.

I'm FREE

Don't grieve for me
For now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found the peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and peace to thee,
God wanted me now; he set me free.

Tim, you did this all right, as did your father.  Be proud in your accomplishments as were his.  Just remember, your father was proud of you at the end, as I am sure you were of him.  It may take time, but you will learn to move on.  We are all here for you during this time my friend. You got my direct E-Mail and number if you want to talk.
