Decided to Cold Smoke some Ribeyes.
It was 95* here today so it wasn't really cold smoking. Just Sea Salt and Malabar Black Pepper

Some Smoke only. (cough cough)

After Smoking the Steaks for 1 hr 20 minutes with this for smoke.

I got these.

And after they meet Bubba using ron's 3-3-3-3 method at 400*, I got these

I also added the Head Country Beans and New Red Potatoes, Canaloupe, Tomatoes, and Onions.

Looks good CRG. How'd the 3-3-3-3 method work out for ya?
Would have probably been perfect except for the 120*
temp from the cold smoking for the hour plus.
Steak had a great smoke taste, and was a nice juicy med to med rare.
Pink, no red.
Couldn't fit the pelletgrill in there somewhere? ;D
Looks great!
Just perfect...I cannot say any more.
Looks good Sonny. I was thinking of the Canaloupe, Tomatoes, and Onions with a drizzle of EVOO and some Balsamic vinegar. Probably on Sunday. I love experimenting on company ;D
Those Ribeyes look great, good choice of smoke ;D ;D
Thanks SS ...the steaks were great!
Mike, A angel from Canada sent me those.
I didn't know they were coming and when I got them, I just couldn't believe it.
I almost cryed! ;D
I helped make alot of these pucks. ;D

Also think of Rice Wine Vinegar and some EVOO. One is sweet and one is TANGY!
Great idea CRG!
That ALL looks good... Every bit of it!
Looks perfect to me! Nice work, CRG.
Thanks for the nice words.
The "extra" work? of cold smoking them first was well worth it.
Took the steak to a new Level.
Now I think I will have to do a true "Cold" smoke and vac-pak the steaks
and see if it drives the smoke Home.
Man, you think of everything. Looks great CRG.
Where did you score the Crown Royal bisquettes?

An Angel from Canada sent it to me.
I have 8 left that I will save for the smoke out.
I got thirsty smelling the smoke of those crown royal bisquettes.

I like that idea a LOT...
Pull some out when you're in the mood..
And have a smoked-grilled steak..
Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh, babe!
CRG, you keep posting those kind of pictures and my order list keeps getting longer for when I come out. I may have to extend my vacation a few extra months so you can get the entire list completed. ;D

Maybe you could do a swap with some of us Canucks for some of the carolina treet that we can't get up here ;)
So happy to hear you are saving the last 8 for the smokeout. After seeing the pics I am tempted to assemble something to try that!

don't think our Ameri-friends have any locations closeby though :D
it also says they are $4.99?! maybe i should go in and try to get them to honour that price - they're $20+ at Canadian Tire! i usually buy mine from Le Baron.
also i can't believe i missed this post last time
great lookin' spread, crg
The $4.99 is for a small package...if I remember right, there is a pull down menu that shows the 48 pack.
Guess i missed this post the first time around. CRG, did you have a chance to vac seal some steaks? (or anyone else for that matter?) Did it make a difference? Is it worth spending the time on?
SD, I know others have done it, but the one I remember most was Caribou did some steaks for friends
during the winter time and she lives in the cold America.
She cold smoked some steaks and vac sealed for a cple days and then grilled them.
They looked off the hook.
Is like smoking cheese and vac sealing. Drives the smoke home.
We are hitting almost 100* every day so the most "I" would try is cold smoking then on to the grill.
Maybe this fall or winter.
