The subject of New England style hot dog buns was brought up by mikeradio ....

I made these in Bread Pans with a weighted cover. I cut off the ends and sliced them to size.
This first one is a Bacon (Pig) wrapped hot dog (Pig) and a wopple of pulled pork (Pig) on a toasted starter bun.

These were made with some pulled chicken and Col. Pooles BBQ sauce

Nice job classicrockgriller!!!
looks good - I'll have to try it when things settle down later this month.
Gus is working on me some starter, so who knows what will be coming soon from one (or both) of us? I love yeast tasting bread and have tried several times to come up with my own Schlotzsky's (http://www.schlotzskys.com/) style bun.
Maybe this will help? But if anyone has figured this out already, I'm the guy that wants to know! Because Schlotzsky's has the best buns in town! ;D

The recipe!
It's free!
Send me a PM with you addy!
I'll send it to you.
CRG,
How many rolls did you get out of a bread pan?
Deb
I got 5 fat ones and 6 skinny ones. The fat ones are the best.
The butter on the sweet bread and the mixture of the pulled pork and a little sauce was
a party all mixed together.
I bought this to help with the toasting.
